Planned by Helen Kitzmiller, the 2008 RTHS Memorial Day Ceremony was held on the 26th of May. The event is held, to lay a wreath on the Memorial Stone, near City Hall. Flag pins, donated by Cotner Funeral Home, were handed out to the seventeen members and friends in attendance.

RTHS Historian, Richard Barrett, was the speaker for the ceremony, held at the Historical Society monument, at City Hall. Richard spoke of the deaths of soldiers in the Civil War and how Decoration Day came about, after the war. Click Here to Read Richard's Speech

Decorated war veteran Oren Spilker and his wife Marge, presented the laying of the wreath, on the memorial stone at Reynoldsburg City Hall.
