On the 28th of April, 2008, Girl Scout Troop 2011 toured the Heritage Center. Leaders, Stephanie Monti, left and Michelle DeVoe, brought the girls through the center, working toward a “try-it” badge in “community stories.” These inquisitive 3rd graders were from various schools in Reynoldsburg.

Troop 2011 was one of the first groups, able to decorate a room in the dollhouse, that had recently been set up at the new museum.
Below the girls look over items in the fifties room, which contains things from the 1950's, up to the present.
Then Tour Guide, Mark Myers, wraps up the afternoon with a question and answer session.

The Battle of Shiloh in the Civil War

After their tour, the scouts walked over to the Primitive Baptist Church cemetery where they placed a flag at Daniel Noe’s grave. Daniel was a 17 year old Reynoldsburg boy who died at the Battle of Shiloh in the Civil War. The girls then discovered that infants’ graves in the 19th century often had a lamb or angel sculpture on top. The girls proceeded to pick dandelions and leave bouquets on the babies’ graves.
